The Department is divided into 2 main areas; the Operating Room & the Delivery Room. The Operating Room comprises of six (6) operating theatre; five (5) of which are major operating suites (Emergency OR, OB-OR, Laparoscopic OR, Major OR1, Major OR2 ) & one (1) minor OR room that is currently being used for ophthalmic surgery. A post- anesthesia care unit with five (5) beds is available for post operative patients who need to be monitored after surgery. The OR theatre is equipped with the latest technology, facility, and equipment such as 2D Laparoscopic machine, 3D Laparoscopic machine with robot assisted, C-arm, tourniquet system & LED light. It has an environment conducive for both surgical team & the patient that will allow a smooth and convenient surgery. An adjacent Instrument Room is also available filled with every needed instrument for any general surgery. Wash areas are with built – in sensors both for liquid soap and water for the maintenance of the sterile environment inside the OR.

Operating room provides elective, emergent, urgent and trauma procedures. For all surgical services in the operating room, post operative and outpatient recovery.

Services offered include:

The Delivery Room which includes the labor room accommodates patient – in – labor & who will undergo gynecological cases. The labor consists of an internal examination area (IE) and three labor beds with Corometrics & Doppler device that monitors fetal heart rate for in-labor patients. Alongside of the labor room is the delivery room that can accommodate two simultaneous deliveries at a time. The delivery room is connected to the Nursery/ NICU department for easy access in providing better, fast & efficient neonatal care for the babies.
