The department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is operational 24/7 and provides the following basic services in Histopathology, Hematology, Immunology, Serology, Blood Banking(Transfusion Hematology), Clinical Microscopy, Chemistry and Bacteriology. It is headed and supervised by Board Certified Pathologist and manned by highly qualified board certified and competent medical technologist with special training in the different section of the Laboratory.

Sacred Heart Medical Center thru its Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine upholds the principle in providing for Quality, Affordable and Timely diagnostic services thru regular internal quality control and calibration mechanisms in order to meet the quality needs and expectations of its various stakeholders. It also provides for continues training to its staff in the various section of the laboratory and participates actively in the various External Quality Assurance program as mandated, being a proud member of the Philippine Council for Quality Assurance in Clinical Laboratories.
